EdgeBook
Privacy policy
The short version: EdgeBook has no server and collects nothing about you. Your account, picks, settings and API keys stay on your iPhone. When you run an analysis, game information (teams, injuries, headlines) goes to the AI service you chose. Your name, email and betting history never do.
This policy covers the EdgeBook iPhone app (listed on the App Store as "EdgeBook Picks"), made by SLM Labs, the app studio of Sergio Martinez ("we"). Questions go to [email protected].
What we collect
Nothing. SLM Labs doesn't run a server for EdgeBook, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting tools. We can't see your account, your picks or how you use the app.
What stays on your iPhone
| Data | Where it's kept | Leaves your phone? |
|---|---|---|
| Sign in with Apple ID (a private, app-specific identifier) | iOS Keychain | No |
| Name and email, if you let Apple share them | App storage | No |
| API keys you enter | iOS Keychain, this device only | Only to the service each key belongs to, to sign in to it |
| Bankroll and style settings, analysis runs, picks, results, AI usage and cost | App storage | Only in a backup you export yourself (backups never include keys) |
| Sports news stories | App storage, deleted automatically after 2 days by default | No |
Services the app contacts
EdgeBook connects directly from your iPhone to outside services. None of them receive personal information from the app.
- Public sports data. Schedules, scores, odds, injuries, news and prediction-market prices come from public sports websites and market data. These requests contain no personal information or keys.
- The AI service you choose. To analyze a game, the app sends game context (team names, injuries, headlines and prices) to one of: Apple's on-device model (which stays on your phone), OpenRouter, Google Gemini, TypeSafe (Jev), Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, or an AI server you run on your own network. Your API key goes only to its own service, and each service handles the request under its own privacy policy.
Like any website you connect to, these services can see your IP address. We don't control them, so review their policies if that matters to you.
Notifications and background refresh
If you allow them, EdgeBook schedules reminders and refreshes analyses in the background. Notifications are created on your iPhone. There's no push-notification server.
Deleting your data
In EdgeBook, go to Settings → Account → Delete account and data. This erases all picks, runs, settings, keys and scheduled notifications from the device and signs you out. Deleting the app also removes its data.
To remove EdgeBook's Sign in with Apple link too, open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Sign in with Apple → EdgeBook → Stop Using Apple ID.
We hold no data about you, so there's nothing to delete or export on our side. You're still welcome to email [email protected], and we'll confirm it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, such as California or the EU, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or move your personal data. Since EdgeBook keeps your data on your device, you can exercise these rights directly with the steps above. We don't sell or share personal information.
Age requirement
EdgeBook is for adults 21 and older and isn't directed to children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and we collect no information at all.
Security
All connections use HTTPS, except an optional AI server you run on your own local network. Keys are kept in the iOS Keychain and never written to backups. To report a security issue, email [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date. If a future version adds anything that collects data, such as optional iCloud sync, we'll describe it here before it ships.
