Terms of use
The short version: EdgeBook gives you estimates, not advice or guarantees. You must be 21 or older and allowed to trade where you live. You decide what to do with any suggestion, and you're responsible for the outcome.
These terms apply to the EdgeBook iPhone app (listed on the App Store as "EdgeBook Picks"), made by SLM Labs, the app studio of Sergio Martinez ("we"). They add to Apple's Standard License Agreement, which also applies. By using EdgeBook, you agree to both.
Who can use EdgeBook
You must be at least 21 years old. You must also be legally allowed to use sports prediction markets or sportsbooks where you live. Check your local laws. If they don't allow it, don't use EdgeBook for that purpose.
Information only, not advice
EdgeBook's suggestions, probabilities and explanations are estimates based on public data and AI analysis. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, legal or gambling advice, and past results don't predict future ones. Only risk money you can afford to lose.
You place your own trades
EdgeBook never places bets or trades, takes deposits, or handles money. Any trade you make happens outside the app, on a service you choose, under that service's terms. You alone decide whether to act on a suggestion, and you're responsible for the result.
AI and third-party services
EdgeBook can use AI services and data sources run by other companies. If you add your own API keys, your use of those services is governed by their terms, and any charges they bill are yours. AI-written explanations can contain mistakes.
No affiliation
EdgeBook isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any sports league, team, player, exchange, sportsbook, news outlet or data provider. Team and league names and other trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify games.
Acceptable use
Don't use EdgeBook to break the law or another service's terms, to resell its output as advice, or to interfere with the services it connects to.
Disclaimer and limits
EdgeBook is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent the law allows, SLM Labs isn't liable for any losses from using EdgeBook or relying on its output. That includes trading or wagering losses and indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Changes and ending use
We may update the app or these terms. If the terms change, we'll update this page and the effective date, and continuing to use EdgeBook means you accept them. You can stop at any time by deleting your data in the app and removing it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
