Common questions
Does EdgeBook place bets for me?
No. EdgeBook only analyzes games and suggests what to look at. You place any trade yourself, on your own account. EdgeBook never takes deposits or handles money.
Do I need an API key?
No. On iPhone 15 Pro or newer with Apple Intelligence turned on, EdgeBook can use Apple's on-device AI for free. You can also add a free OpenRouter or Google Gemini key. A TypeSafe key for Jev is optional. Keys are entered in the app and stored in your iPhone's Keychain.
Why am I not seeing any suggestions?
EdgeBook only suggests a pick when the estimated chance of winning is clearly better than the price, and some days there aren't any. Try a wider date range or more leagues. Recommendations are locked once a game starts.
How are my picks settled?
After you place a trade, swipe right on the card and tap I placed it. The Results tab settles it automatically after the game ends.
Can I move my data to a new phone?
Yes. Everything is stored on your iPhone, so export a backup from Settings and import it on the new phone. Backups don't include keys, so you'll enter those again.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete account and data. This erases everything EdgeBook stored on the device. The privacy policy explains how to remove the Sign in with Apple link too.
Are the suggestions guaranteed?
No. They're estimates based on public data and AI analysis, and they can be wrong. Nothing in EdgeBook is financial advice. Only risk money you can afford to lose.
